Futility

"But they purpose not their deaths when they purpose their services."

Before anyone gets the wrong idea about this, as a firm believer in reincarnation, I believe that we all choose our path through life.
It’s just that, given a perfect world, there would be no need for any man or woman to sacrifice their life in a cause, be it just or not; and I DO honour those who die in the service of their country.
Military graves always make me wonder about man’s ultimate fate.

The photo was taken in Adelaide’s West Terrace Cemetery.

The quote is from Shakespeare’s “Henry V”.
